Posted August 16, 2018 08:23:03Apple is offering a free iPhone X phone in Canada, with Apple paying $5,000 in support fees to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.
The company is currently rolling out a free phone in every country where it offers it.
The iPhone X is available for purchase on Apple’s website and in select Apple Stores.
The free phone will arrive with the new iPhone X and a set of accessories, which include a 3.5mm headphone jack, Lightning to USB Type-C cable, a USB Type A cable and a micro-USB port.
Apple’s support fees apply to the iPhone X for Canada only.
Apple did not respond to a request for comment.
The iPhone X comes with a $1,000 tax credit for eligible taxpayers, up to a maximum of $1.9 million per taxpayer.
Apple offers tax credits to Canadians for a range of purchases including Apple Watch, iPhone, Mac, Mac Pro and iPad.
The tax credit is available to people aged 18 and older.
